I Auditioned For A Singing Competition. Here's What Happened...
Reality television shows like American Idol, X Factor and The Voice are all over the small screen these days. We love watching them, but it takes people auditioning for them to keep them going. So what is it really like to sing in front of a crew of celebrity judges? These contestants can tell you their firsthand experience. Read on to see what it's really like behind the scenes.

Sounds tiring.

I auditioned for America's Got Talent many years ago. They split us off by our particular talent (i.e 10 singers at a time or 10 dancers etc) 90% of your time was spent waiting.

Such an anxious experience.

2
I auditioned for the Voice. It was super nerve wracking!

So disappointing.

3
I auditioned for the X Factor and it was horrible. I spent all day in line and I was given 3minutes to sing. The guy just said “next” when I was finished

People love the drama.

Apparently the only people who win music competition shows are people with a sob story. It isn't talent based. I figured this out when I auditioned for American Idol.

So close, yet so far!

5
A friend and I auditioned for Britain's Got Talent when we were 13. Got through to meet the judges, but never went because it was too far. Our parents weren't willing to drive us. Ugh.

Meeting new people is always fun.

I hated waiting in line for hours to audition for the X Factor, but seeing the other talents and meeting them is fun. It was like a big party.
